    I would like to learn about basketball sabermetric, can you point me to some online articles/books/sites that you have read/found very useful?

    & what skills are necessary to become a successful handicapper like you?

    Basketball on Paper, by Dean Oliver

    It's an easy to understand introduction to basketball sabermetrics. Read the archives on kenpom's blogs. Read basketball prospectus articles. That's somewhere to start.

    To be successful? A little bit of basketball knowledge with a lot of knowledge of statistics. You won't be successful just working up some high level formula from a book you buy - you'll need to work with your own data to identify profitable angles before the market does.
